Lorna Shore — американская дезкор-группа из Филлипсбурга, Нью-Джерси, основанная в 2010 году пятью участниками. Дебютный EP группы под названием Triumph был выпущен в 2010 году. В ноябре 2014 Lorna Shore объявили, что приступили к записи своего дебютного полноформатного альбома на все том же Density Records. В 2015 вышел дебютный полноформатный альбом Psalms, который получил огромное количество положительных отзывов.
27 ноября 2015 года был выпущен сингл The Absolution of Hatred, который не вошёл ни в один из альбомов, однако задал вектор направления последующего звучания группы.
В апреле 2016 года группа начинает запись нового материала в Atrium Audio Recording Studio. Первоначально, группа планировала записать очередной EP, но впоследствии было принято решение о выпуске полноформатника. В сентябре того же года группа объявляет о том, что подписалась на лейбл Outerloop Group Records, где и выпустит свой новый альбом.
2 ноября 2016 года стало известно, что новый альбом будет называться Flesh Coffin, выйдет в свет 17 февраля 2017 года и будет состоять из 10 треков. 16 ноября 2016 г. был выпущен первый сингл Denounce The Light.
4 декабря 2016 г. басист Gary Herrera, играющий в группе с самого её основания, покинул коллектив. 13 января 2017 г. был выпущен второй сингл FVNERAL MOON, на который также был снят видеоклип.
1 февраля 2017 года группа отправляется в тур по США и Канаде, в рамках North American Tour MMXVII, в котором также приняли участие такие группы как Carnifex, Despised Icon, Fallujah, Rings of Saturn и She Must Burn.
17 февраля вышел второй полноформатный альбом, а также видео на песню Flesh Coffin. Данный альбом стал последним релизом группы, в котором принял участие басист Gary Herrera. Стоит отметить, что альбом получил великолепнейшие рецензии от музыкальной прессы и критиков, а также попал в чарты Billboard.

In 2010, Lorna Shore independently released their first material with the EP called “Triumph.” Tom Barber was the original vocalist, alongside guitarists Aaron Brown and Jeff Moskovciak, bassist Gary Herrera, and drummer Scott Cooper. They later joked that they started as a Christian band, as this EP has metalcore elements and sounds nothing like the rest of the band’s career.
In 2011, their lineup switched to Adam De Micco as the only guitarist. Austin Archey later replaced Cooper as the drummer. Both De Micco and Archey have remained in the band ever since. They released their second EP called “Bone Kingdom” the next year. This EP began the upswing of the deathcore elements of Lorna Shore.
Lorna Shore released their third EP called Maleficium in 2013, which demonstrated their upgrade to a more blackened deathcore style. They have continued to incorporate these elements into their material. The songs “Godmaker” and “Cre(H)ate” were made into music videos.
Lorna Shore spent some time touring with bands including Carnifex, Deicide, Cattle Decapitation, Fit for an Autopsy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Chelsea Grin, and Dying Fetus (among many others).
They released their first album entitled “Psalms” in 2015 with Connor Deffley as the rhythm guitarist. This was their first material released under a label (formed by Will Putney, the guitarist for Fit for an Autopsy). “Grimoire” and “From the Pale Mist” were both made into music videos. Lorna Shore also released a single called “The Absolution of Hatred” to exhibit the path they will be taking for their next album.
With the same lineup, in 2017, Flesh Coffin was released under Outerloop Records. During this time, the original bassist Gary Herrera left the band because of a loss of interest in making music. De Micco and Deffley both took up the bass roles. The music videos that came out of Flesh Coffin included “Fvneral Moon” and “Flesh Coffin.”
In 2018, Tom Barber decided to leave Lorna Shore to replace Alex Koehler as the new Chelsea Grin vocalist. He was the last original member of Lorna Shore. CJ McCreery of Signs of the Swarm soon stepped up to the plate, and Deffley was replaced by the new rhythm guitarist/bassist Andrew O’Connor.
In late 2019, a long line of allegations against McCreery surfaced. One of McCreery’s ex-girlfriends posted multiple pieces of evidence of text messages to accuse him of verbally and sexually abusing her. A few other ex-girlfriends followed suit after her, claiming that he abused them as well. Lorna Shore quickly fired McCreery and refused to ever bring him back. McCreery later created a video on YouTube detailing his side of the story and denying all allegations.
Despite the allegations against McCreery, the band released their third album “Immortal” in 2020 with McCreery on vocals. This album was released under Century Media Records. Four music videos came out of this album, including “This Is Hell,” “Immortal,” “Death Portrait,” and “King ov Deception.” Will Ramos of Monument of a Memory and A Wake In Providence took up the role as a touring vocalist.
For over a year, many questions arose regarding who Lorna Shore will pick as the new vocalist. The band answered those questions on June of 2021 when they released the music video for “To the Hellfire,” tour dates, details about their upcoming EP “…And I Return to Nothingness,” and the introduction of Ramos as their new vocalist. …AIRTN will be released on August 13, 2021.

В частности — о последнем на данный момент альбоме группы Lorna Shore, «Immortal», релиз которого состоялся 31 января 2020 года на лейбле «Century Media Records». Это третья по счету полноформатная работа коллектива.
Говоря об этом альбоме, нельзя не вспомнить, с какими трудностями столкнулась группа до и во время записи пластинки. Сначала, в апреле 2018 года, ее покидает вокалист Том Барбер, чтобы встать за микрофонную стойку в Chelsea Grin. В июне того же года группа объявляет имя нового — им становится СиДжей МакКрири, вокалист Sign of the Swarm, который вскоре тоже покидает
Lorna Shore, чтобы полноценно работать уже в другой команде.
6 сентября 2018 года выходит первый сингл с предстоящего альбома — «This is Hell» — песня, дающая исчерпывающее представление о возможностях нового на тот момент вокалиста, полная гитарных переборов, бластбитов и атмосферных хоралов, с добавлением симфонических вставок.
Второй сингл — «Darkest Spawn» выходит 3 января 2019 года, еще больше подогревая интерес к предстоящему лонгплею. В этом же месяце группу покидает гитарист Коннор Деффли.
7 ноября — третий сингл «Death Portrait», а через месяц — 5 декабря — «Immortal». И, наконец, 9 января 2020 года выходит пятый и последний сингл — «King Ov Deception».
В марте 2019 года стало известно, что группа завершила запись нового альбома, дальше предстоял процесс сведения и микширования. Альбом должен был выйти в конце весны, затем дату релиза перенесли на 2020 год. 24 декабря 2019 года было объявлено, что СиДжей МакКрири больше не является вокалистом Lorna Shore, однако вокал на альбоме перезаписывать не стали. О причинах увольнения официально не сообщалось. В марте 2020 был объявлен новый вокалист — им стал Уилл Рамос, ранее работавший в таких группах, как Monument of a Memory и A Wake In Providence.
Этот альбом очень ждали, переживая за парней, потому что будущее Lorna Shore долгое время оставалось туманным. Теперь, зная предысторию пластинки, можно поговорить и о том, что она из себя представляет.

«Immortal» — это альбом, который не отпускает до последней ноты. Синглы дают верное представление о нем: никаких звуковых экспериментов здесь нет, группа имеет свой четко сформированный стиль и, похоже, не собирается от него отступать, что, на наш взгляд, хорошо. С другой стороны, следует помнить о новом участнике команды, который, возможно, привнесет в ее звучание нечто новое.
Работа получилась крайне мрачной и агрессивной. Lorna Shore Drop “To the Hellfire” Single with New Vocalist Will Ramos
Lorna Shore have released a new song, “To the Hellfire,” with new vocalist Will Ramos (Monument of a Memory, ex-A Wake in Providence).
Ramos briefly toured with the band in early 2020 after the dismissal of former vocalist CJ McCreery, but that run was cut short by the pandemic. “To the Hellfire” is Ramos’ first recorded output with the band and comes along with the announcement that he is now their permanent vocalist.
McCreery was ousted from Lorna Shore in December 2019 amidst several allegations of physical and emotional abuse by women. The band would go on to release their upcoming album, Immortal, with CJ’s vocals on it, as well as a music video featuring him, despite a public outcry from many not to do so.
“To the Hellfire” will appear on Lorna Shore’s new EP with Ramos, …And I Return To Nothingness, out August 13 via Century Media.

“Finally excited to release all this information to everyone. It’s been a year and a half on silence on our end and today is a day that we cannot be quiet about this. To be able to announce our new vocalist Will Ramos, a brand new EP, and to finally get back to playing shows again. Will filled in for us over in Europe and during the past year we decided to do 3 songs to see how the fit would be. Which brings us to our EP ‘…And I Return To Nothingness’. The EP features 3 songs that we feel sums up and identifies the band in a way that we see fit. Each song is unique from the next and displays the characteristics of who we are as a band. In addition to we will be playing shows supporting the release of the EP.”
Lorna Shore will team up with The Last Ten Seconds Of Life and Left To Suffer for a quick run of East Coast record release shows in August. Dates:

I’m so happy about it, he’s an insane vocalist and perfect for Lorna. He had big shoes to fill but from their new single and those live performances prove he’s amazing
Agreed 100%. To me, he sounds like a fusion between Tom and CJ, so we get the best of both worlds.
